Meet Dr. Elefant Baratz
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Certified ADHD Specialist with a private practice serving clients throughout the state of California.I have spent my entire life learning about my ownneurodivergence, and I hope to share some of that knowledge with you and your family.
In addition to my lived experience as an ADHDer, I have had many years of formal training and experience in serving neurodiverse clients. I have developed a passion for helping people gain a better understanding of themselves through Comprehensive Psychological and Neuropsychological Assessment and reach their goals through evidenced-based treatments, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have also developed skills programsto help clients learn important life skills, such as Executive Functioning Skills!
I received my bachelor’s degree from University of the Pacific, and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University's Pacific Graduate School of Psychology. After graduating I completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC) specializing in clinical assessments prior to establishing my own private practice doing the same.
In addition to my private practice work, I currently serve as adjunct clinical faculty at the Wright Institute and Palo Alto University. In these roles I teach courses and provide supervision and training to current doctoral level students.
I was trained in, and work from, a Therapeutic Assessment approach. This means that the primary goal of each assessment is to facilitate positive changes in clients. While the traditional assessment goals of providing a diagnosis and treatment recommendations remain important, the priority of therapuetic assessment is to help people understand themselves better and find solutions to persistent problems. I aim to provide clients with resources tailored to their strengths to give them the best chances at success.
